The inspiration for this vase came from an article about the drought in developing countries. Large corporations such as Nestlé or Coca Cola tap there vital groundwater and sell it in the rich industrialized countries for expensive money. The structure of the vase, which is divided into small parts of different sizes, represents a soil landscape pervaded by drought. The vase serves as a cover for a 0.33 Coca-Cola bottle. However, in order to fit, this must be crushed. This radical gesture is meant to make the user think. In addition, the broken logo of the plastic bottle is visible through the open spaces.
