The main idea was to create something magnificent of small pieces and that the consumer has the opportunity to create his own individual jewelry. The roots of “Brilliant Instinct” can be found in the way some animals protect themselves. Our group was inspired by the attack function of an urchin and by the confusion function of a peacock whose plumage on the one hand is a perfect protection and on the other hand impresses with glamorous and shiny richness of colors. Therefore, we combined the shape of the spikes from the urchin with bright colors for the mirror function of the pea- cock’s plumage.
In the end we created a conspicuous jewelry collection out of copper. In January 2017 all the pieces of jewelry were exhibited at the BIJOURHCA, the largest trade fair for jewelry in France.
